The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The tomb is the central focus of the entire complex of the Taj Mahal. The marble dome that surmounts the tomb is the most spectacular feature. Its height of around 35 metres is about the same as the length of the base, and is accentuated as it sits on a cylindrical “drum” which is roughly 7 metres high. / ताजमहल आगरा, उत्तर प्रदेश, भारत में स्थित एक सफेद संगमरमर का मकबरा है। इसे मुगल बादशाह शाहजहां ने अपनी तीसरी पत्नी मुमताज महल की याद में बनवाया था। कब्र ताजमहल के पूरे परिसर का मुख्य अकर्षण का केंद्र है। मकबरे के ऊपर संगमरमर का गुंबद सबसे शानदार विशेषता है। इसकी लगभग 35 मीटर की ऊंचाई लगभग आधार की लंबाई के समान है, और यह एक बेलनाकार “ड्रम” पर बैठता है जो लगभग 7 मीटर ऊंचा होता है।
