It was the most important port of this civilization and was one of the most important centres of export of beads, unguent vessels, chank shells, ladles and inlays. Lothal engineers accorded high priority to the creation of a dockyard and a warehouse to serve the purposes of naval trade. / लोथल प्राचीन सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता के सबसे प्रमुख शहरों में से एक है। यह इस सभ्यता का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बंदरगाह था और मोतियों के निर्यात के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण केंद्रों में से एक था। लोथल इंजीनियरों ने नौसैनिक व्यापार के उद्देश्यों की पूर्ति के लिए एक डॉकयार्ड और एक गोदाम के निर्माण को उच्च प्राथमिकता दी।
