There were three Anglo Maratha wars fought between the late 18th Century and the beginning of the 19th Century between the British and the Marathas. The third and final phase of the Anglo Maratha was began when Hastings arrived. In this war Bajirao II was defeated by British and made the treaty of Puna (1817). After the treaty of Puna Bajirao fought two more wars with the British the first took place on 1 January 1818 AD in Koregaon and the second on 20 February 1818. Finally Baji Rao II surrendered to Sir John Malcolm and with this third Anglo Maratha war also ended. First Anglo Maratha war– (1775 – 1782 AD) Second Anglo Maratha war – (1803 – 1805 AD) Third Anglo Maratha war – (1817 – 1819 AD)
18वीं शताब्दी के अंत और 19वीं शताब्दी की शुरुआत के बीच अंग्रेजों और मराठों के बीच तीन एंग्लो मराठा युद्ध लड़े गए। एंग्लो मराठा का तीसरा और अंतिम चरण तब शुरू हुआ जब हेस्टिंग्स आए। इस युद्ध में बाजीराव द्वितीय को अंग्रेजों ने हराया और पुना की संधि (1817) की। पुना की संधि के बाद बाजीराव ने अंग्रेजों के साथ दो और युद्ध लड़े, पहला 1 जनवरी 1818 ई. को कोरेगांव में और दूसरा 20 फरवरी 1818 को हुआ। अंत में बाजीराव द्वितीय ने सर जॉन मैल्कम के सामने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया और इसके साथ ही तीसरा आंग्ल मराठा युद्ध भी समाप्त हो गया। प्रथम आंग्ल मराठा युद्ध- (1775 - 1782 ई.) द्वितीय आंग्ल मराठा युद्ध- (1803 - 1805 ई.) तृतीय आंग्ल मराठा युद्ध- (1817 - 1819 ई.)
