The Mughal Emperor Humayun used the building known as Din Panah likewise called Sher Mandal, as his library. It is situated within the old fort complex in Delhi. It was built by Sher Shah Suri. This was also the spot where on 24th January 1556 Humayun fell from the stairs of his library of the building known as Din Panah likewise called Sher Mandal to his death. The Sher Mandal is thought to have been the personal library and observatory for the Mughal Emperor Humayun.
मुगल सम्राट हुमायूं ने दीन पनाह के नाम से मशहूर इमारत, जिसे शेर मंडल भी कहा जाता था, को अपनी लाइब्रेरी के रूप में इस्तेमाल किया था। यह दिल्ली में पुराने किला परिसर के भीतर स्थित है। इसका निर्माण शेरशाह सूरी ने करवाया था। यह वह स्थान भी था जहां 24 जनवरी 1556 को हुमायूं दीन पनाह नामक इमारत की लाइब्रेरी की सीढ़ियों से गिर गया था, जिसे शेर मंडल भी कहा जाता था और उसकी मृत्यु हो गई थी। माना जाता है कि शेर मंडल मुगल सम्राट हुमायूँ का निजी पुस्तकालय और वेधशाला था।
