In 1605, he sent his second son to reduce Rana Amar Singh, a Hindu ruler, to submission. It was not easy to conquer the great fort of Chittor. In 1608, the emperor sent another force. Eventually, a treaty of peace was signed in 1615. / 1615 ई. में जहाँगीर के शासनकाल में चित्तौड़ की प्रसिद्ध संधि हुई। अपने पिता की साम्राज्यवाद की नीति के अनुसरण में, जहाँगीर का लक्ष्य पूरे देश को जीतना था। 1605 में, उन्होंने एक हिंदू शासक राणा अमर सिंह को अधीन करने के लिए अपने दूसरे बेटे को भेजा। चित्तौड़ के महान किले को जीतना आसान नहीं था। 1608 में बादशाह ने दूसरी सेना भेजी। आख़िरकार, 1615 में शांति संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए।
