The Alai Darwaza is a perfect specimen of architecture belonging to the period of the Delhi Sultanate. The three doorways on the east, west, and south are lofty pointed arches, in the shape of a horseshoe, which rise above the flanking side bays. It is the first example of this type of architect in India./अलाई दरवाजा दिल्ली सल्तनत के काल की वास्तुकला का एक आदर्श नमूना है। पूर्व, पश्चिम और दक्षिण के तीन दरवाजे घोड़े की नाल के आकार में ऊँचे नुकीले मेहराब हैं, जो पार्श्व पार्श्व खाड़ियों से ऊपर उठे हुए हैं। यह भारत में इस प्रकार के वास्तुकार का पहला उदाहरण है।
