The Allahabad Pillar with Ashoka’s edicts talks about the charitable works of Ashoka’s queen Karuwaki and even mentions that she was the mother of Prince Tivala. Queen Karuwaki in fact is the only Queen of Ashoka who finds her name in the Ashoka’s edicts. It is particularly notable for containing laterinscriptions attributed to the Gupta emperor, Samudragupta (4th centuryCE).Also engraved on the stone are inscriptions by the Mughal emperor, Jahangir, from the 17th century. /अशोक के शिलालेखों वाला इलाहाबाद स्तंभ अशोक की रानी कारुवाकी के धर्मार्थ कार्यों के बारे में बात करता है और यहाँ तक कि यह भी उल्लेख करता है कि वह राजकुमार तिवाला की माँ थी। रानी कारुवाकी वास्तव में अशोक की एकमात्र ऐसी रानी हैं जिनका नाम अशोक के शिलालेखों में मिलता है। यह विशेष रूप से गुप्त सम्राट, समुद्रगुप्त (चौथी शताब्दी सीई) के बाद के शिलालेखों को शामिल करने के लिए उल्लेखनीय है। इसके अलावा पत्थर पर उत्कीर्ण मुगल सम्राट जहांगीर द्वारा 17 वीं शताब्दी के शिलालेख हैं।
