Sitara Devi was an eminent Indian dancer of the classical Kathak style of dancing. Rabindranath Tagore described her as Nritya Samragini (empress of dance) after watching her performance when she was just 16 years old. She is still described as the Kathak queen.

सितारा देवी नृत्य की शास्त्रीय कथक शैली की एक प्रख्यात भारतीय नृत्यांगना थीं। रवींद्रनाथ टैगोर ने केवल 16 साल की उम्र में उनके प्रदर्शन को देखने के बाद उन्हें नृत्य समरगिनी (नृत्य की साम्राज्ञी) के रूप में वर्णित किया। उन्हें आज भी कथक रानी के रूप में वर्णित किया जाता है।
