Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, AC (born 13 January 1949) is a former Indian Air Force pilot who flew aboard Soyuz T-11 on 3 April 1984 as part of the Soviet Interkosmos programme. He is the only Indian citizen to travel in space, although there have been other astronauts with an Indian background who were not Indian citizen / विंग कमांडर राकेश शर्मा, एसी (जन्म 13 जनवरी 1949) भारतीय वायु सेना के एक पूर्व पायलट हैं जिन्होंने सोवियत इंटरकोसमोस कार्यक्रम के हिस्से के रूप में 3 अप्रैल 1984 को सोयुज टी-11 पर उड़ान भरी थी। वह अंतरिक्ष में यात्रा करने वाले एकमात्र भारतीय नागरिक हैं, हालांकि भारतीय पृष्ठभूमि वाले अन्य अंतरिक्ष यात्री भी रहे हैं जो भारतीय नागरिक नहीं थे

• Sunita Williams went to space in the year 2006./ सुनीता विलियम्स साल 2006 में अंतरिक्ष में गई थीं।
