Plan Holiday refers to three annual plans implemented during 1966-69 after the end of the Third Five Year Plan (1961-66). During these plans a whole new agricultural strategy involving wide – spread distribution of High – Yielding Varieties (HYVs) of seeds, the extensive use of fertilizers, exploitation of irrigation potential and soil conservation was put into action to tide – over the crisis in agricultural production. / योजना अवकाश का तात्पर्य तीसरी पंचवर्षीय योजना (1961-66) की समाप्ति के बाद 1966-69 के दौरान कार्यान्वित तीन वार्षिक योजनाओं से है। इन योजनाओं के दौरान उच्च उपज देने वाली किस्मों (एचवाईवी) के व्यापक वितरण, उर्वरकों के व्यापक उपयोग, सिंचाई क्षमता के दोहन और मृदा संरक्षण को शामिल करते हुए एक पूरी नई कृषि रणनीति को अमल में लाया गया – कृषि उत्पादन में संकट से निपटने के लिए। .
