Explanation / व्याख्या :-

Article 222 empowers the President to transfer judges from one High Court to another. Clause (2) of this article goes on to provide that when a judge is so transferred he shall be entitled to receive in addition to his salary a compensatory allowance. It is felt that there is no real justification for granting such an allowance and it is accordingly proposed to omit clause. / अनुच्छेद 222 राष्ट्रपति को न्यायाधीशों को एक उच्च न्यायालय से दूसरे उच्च न्यायालय में स्थानांतरित करने का अधिकार देता है। इस अनुच्छेद का खंड (2) यह उपबंध करता है कि जब किसी न्यायाधीश का इस प्रकार स्थानांतरण किया जाता है तो वह अपने वेतन के अतिरिक्त प्रतिपूरक भत्ता प्राप्त करने का हकदार होगा। यह महसूस किया जाता है कि ऐसा भत्ता देने का कोई वास्तविक औचित्य नहीं है और तदनुसार खंड को हटाने का प्रस्ताव है।
