Chemical changes take place in the formation of curd from milk. A change in a substance by which a new substance is formed, which differs chemically from the original substance by physical properties, is a chemical change. The substance in which chemical change takes place is called the reactant or reactant and the substance that is formed is called the reactant.
दूध से दही बनने में रासायनिक परिवर्तन होता हैं. पदार्थ में होने वाला वह परिवर्तन जिससे नया पदार्थ बनता है, जो मूल पदार्थ से रासायनिक वह भौतिक गुणों से भिन्न होता है वह रासायनिक परिवर्तन होता हैं. जिस पदार्थ में रासायनिक परिर्तन होता है उसे अभिकारक या क्रियाकारक तथा बनने वाले पदार्थ को क्रियाफल कहते हैं।
