If a budget is defeated in the legislature of a state then / यदि किसी राज्य की विधायिका में बजट हार जाता है तो

(1) The Finance Minister alone has to resign / वित्त मंत्री को ही इस्तीफा देना पड़ता है
(2) The Finance Minister concerned has to be suspended / संबंधित वित्त मंत्री को निलंबित करना होगा
(3) The council of Ministers along with the Chief Minister has to resign / मुख्यमंत्री के साथ मंत्रिपरिषद को इस्तीफा देना पड़ता है

Explanation / व्याख्या :-

If the state legislature refuses to pass annual budget, then it will mean the government of the day has lost the faith of the legislature, i.e. it does not have majority of the legislature. In such a scenario, the council of ministers along with the Chief Minister has to resign. / यदि राज्य विधायिका वार्षिक बजट पारित करने से इंकार करती है, तो इसका मतलब होगा कि उस समय की सरकार ने विधायिका का विश्वास खो दिया है, यानी उसके पास विधायिका का बहुमत नहीं है। ऐसे में मुख्यमंत्री सहित मंत्रिपरिषद को इस्तीफा देना पड़ता है।
