Plaster of Paris (CaSO4. 1/2 H2O):
Chemically plaster of paris is semi-aqueous calcium sulphate. It is called plaster of paris. Because it is obtained from gypsum which is mainly found in Paris.
Manufacture: Plaster of Paris is obtained by heating gypsum (CaSO4.2H2O) in a furnace at 373 K. It should be heated carefully.
प्लास्टर ऑफ पेरिस (CaSO4. 1/2 H2O):
रासायनिक रूप से प्लास्टर ऑफ पेरिस अर्धजलीय कैल्शियम सल्फेट है। इसे प्लास्टर ऑफ पेरिस कहते है। क्योंकि यह जिप्सम से प्राप्त होता है जो मुख्यतया पेरिस में पाया जाता है।
निर्माण : प्लास्टर ऑफ पेरिस को जिप्सम (CaSO4.2H2O) को भट्टी में 373 K पर गर्म करने से प्राप्त होता है। इसे सावधानीपूर्वक गर्म करना चाहिए।
