The digestive juice that is made in the liver is called pitta. In other words, bile is the juice produced by the liver. It aids in digestion. It is a somewhat thick greenish yellow liquid. Its reaction is alkaline and taste is bitter. The relative gravity ranges from 1.026 to 1.032. It dispenses 30 to 40 ounces in 24 hours. / यकृत में जो पाचक रस बनता है उसे ‘पित्त’ कहते हैं। दूसरे शब्दों में पित्त यकृत से बनने वाला रस है। यह पाचन में सहायता करता है। यह कुछ गाढ़ा सा हरा, मायल, पीला तरल पदार्थ (Greenish Yellow Liquid) होता है। इसकी प्रतिक्रिया क्षारीय होती है और स्वाद कड़वा होता है। आपेक्षिक गुरुत्व 1.026 से 1.032 तक होता है। यह 24 घण्टे में 30 से 40 औंस तक निकला करता है। As has been explained that bile continues to form and accumulate in the gall bladder. There mucin is found in it. The gall bladder mucosa reabsorbs the dilute bicarbonate and chloride from it. According to English measurement, 500 to 1000 cc bile is produced in 24 hours. The water content in bile is 86% and the density is 14%. The sensory component in the density is a little more than 13% and the rest are the sensory components:- / जैसा कि स्पष्ट किया जा चुका है कि पित्त बनता रहता है और पित्ताशय में एकत्रित होता रहता है । वहाँ इसमें म्यूसिन (Mucin) मिल जाता है । पित्ताशयिक श्लेष्मिक कला उसमें से जलीयांश बाई कार्बोनेट तथा क्लोराइड का पुन: शोषण कर लेती है। अंग्रेजी माप के अनुसार 24 घण्टे में 500 से 1000 सी०सी० पित्त बनता है। पित्त में जलीयांश 86% और घनांश 14% होता है। घनांश में सेन्द्रिय घटक 13% से कुछ अधिक होते हैं और शेष निरिन्द्रय घटक होते हैं :-
