The estimates of expenditure included in the Budget and required to be voted by Lok Sabha are in the form of Demands for Grants. These Demands are arranged Ministry-wise and a separate Demand for each of the major services is presented. Each Demand contains first a statement of the total grant and then a statement of the detailed estimate divided into items. A demand becomes a grant after it has been voted. The voting of demands for grants is the exclusive privilege of the Lok Sabha and not of Rajya Sabha. / बजट में शामिल व्यय के अनुमान और लोकसभा द्वारा मतदान के लिए आवश्यक अनुदान मांगों के रूप में हैं। इन मांगों को मंत्रालय-वार व्यवस्थित किया जाता है और प्रत्येक प्रमुख सेवाओं के लिए एक अलग मांग प्रस्तुत की जाती है। प्रत्येक मांग में पहले कुल अनुदान का विवरण होता है और फिर मदों में विभाजित विस्तृत अनुमान का विवरण होता है। एक मांग मतदान के बाद अनुदान बन जाती है। अनुदान मांगों पर मतदान लोकसभा का विशेष विशेषाधिकार है न कि राज्यसभा का।
