Causes / कारण
The rabies virus causes a rabies infection. The virus spreads through the saliva of infected animals. Infected animals can spread the virus by biting another animal or a person. / रेबीज वायरस रेबीज संक्रमण का कारण बनता है। यह वायरस संक्रमित जानवरों की लार से फैलता है। संक्रमित जानवर दूसरे जानवर या व्यक्ति को काटकर वायरस फैला सकते हैं।
In rare cases, rabies can be spread when infected saliva gets into an open wound or the mucous membranes, such as the mouth or eyes. This could happen if an infected animal licked an open cut on your skin. / दुर्लभ मामलों में, रेबीज तब फैल सकता है जब संक्रमित लार एक खुले घाव या श्लेष्मा झिल्ली, जैसे कि मुंह या आंखों में चली जाती है। यह तब हो सकता है जब कोई संक्रमित जानवर आपकी त्वचा पर खुले चीरे को चाटे।

In very rare cases, the virus has been spread to tissue and organ transplant recipients from an infected organ. /बहुत ही दुर्लभ मामलों में, वायरस एक संक्रमित अंग से ऊतक और अंग प्रत्यारोपण प्राप्तकर्ताओं में फैल गया है।
