When an individual has pneumonia, the alveoli are filled with pus and fluid, which makes breathing painful and limits oxygen intake / निमोनिया तीव्र श्वसन संक्रमण का एक रूप है जो फेफड़ों को प्रभावित करता है। फेफड़े एल्वियोली नामक छोटी थैली से बने होते हैं, जो स्वस्थ व्यक्ति के सांस लेने पर हवा से भरते हैं। जब किसी व्यक्ति को निमोनिया होता है, तो एल्वियोली मवाद और तरल पदार्थ से भर जाती है, जिससे सांस लेने में दर्द होता है और ऑक्सीजन का सेवन सीमित हो जाता है
