Agriculture contributed more than 50 per cent of India’s GDP in 1950-51. Contribution of agriculture and allied sectors to India’s GDP has been declining since then. Agriculture’s contribution fell down to 14.5 per cent in 2010-11 and to 14.1 per cent in 2011-12. / 1950-51 में भारत के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में कृषि का योगदान 50 प्रतिशत से अधिक था। तब से भारत के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में कृषि और संबद्ध क्षेत्रों का योगदान घट रहा है। 2010-11 में कृषि का योगदान गिरकर 14.5 प्रतिशत और 2011-12 में 14.1 प्रतिशत रह गया।
