The sixth five year plan had long-term objectives of removal of poverty and the achievement of self-reliance. It also aimed at the achievement of economic and technological self reliance with the help of modernization. / छठी पंचवर्षीय योजना में गरीबी को दूर करने और आत्मनिर्भरता की उपलब्धि के दीर्घकालिक उद्देश्य थे। इसका उद्देश्य आधुनिकीकरण की मदद से आर्थिक और तकनीकी आत्मनिर्भरता हासिल करना भी था।
