Increasing returns mean lower costs per unit just as diminishing returns mean higher costs. Thus, the law of increasing return signifies that cost per unit of the marginal or additional output falls with the expansion of an industry. As more and more units of the commodity are produced, the cost per unit goes on steadily falling. Besides, the return is more than proportionate. / बढ़ते प्रतिफल का अर्थ है प्रति इकाई कम लागत, जिस प्रकार घटते प्रतिफल का अर्थ है उच्च लागत। इस प्रकार, बढ़ते हुए प्रतिफल का नियम यह दर्शाता है कि सीमांत या अतिरिक्त उत्पादन की प्रति इकाई लागत एक उद्योग के विस्तार के साथ गिरती है। जैसे-जैसे वस्तु की अधिक से अधिक इकाइयाँ उत्पादित होती हैं, प्रति इकाई लागत लगातार गिरती जाती है। इसके अलावा, रिटर्न आनुपातिक से अधिक है।
